The number of Chinese millionaires is increasing rapidly and women constitute the major part in that rising population. This is a great news for the exotic car manufacturers because wealthy Chinese women are buying exotic cars.
Sales of such high-end automobiles increased 60 percent last year and analysts believe that there will be a 35 percent climb this year. Maserati reports that 30 percent of its sales in China are to women compared to just 10 percent among European sales. China is ready to overcome Italy as the second largest automaker in the world.
It's not just Maserati, even Ferrari's and Lamborghini's are purchased in large numbers by Chinese Women. The wealthy Chinese women constitute 20 percent of the local Ferrari sales, which is double the global average. This rise in exotic vehicle sales has got the attention of Bugatti and Volkswagen.
