You can never be sure with journal pictures of upcoming designs travelling around the internet, but there's something actual about this picture of what is described as the BMW Effective Activities Tourer Idea and which is found from the cover of the next issue of car Bild that's due to come out on Friday, Sept 14.
The german magazine also released a taster of the future released but they hide the car (see picture below).
The vehicle shown here is surprisingly a concept with the only bogus function we could find being the license plate – a common practice among car publications in European countries to make visitors think that the idea is a development design.
If actual, the Active Sports Tourer Idea should be a very finely hidden edition of the future BMW 1-Series high hatchback that may or may not sporthe Gran Turismo name plate when it goes into production next season.
It is considered to drive on the BMW Group’s all-new UKL1 platform distributed to the next creation of the MINI close relatives, and yes, it will be a front-wheel generate design, with all-wheel generate variations being a powerful probability.
We have also observed that the 1-Series GT is likely to first appearance the BMW Team's new 1.5-liter turbocharged three-cylinder models in both petrol and diesel variations.
Since we question that BMW gives Vehicle Bild an unique snubbing the relax of the engine media, if the 2012 Paris Motor Show-bound concept seen in this image is genuine, then the car maker should come out with an official launch on Friday.
